Why we exist

We believe that politics should be about representing people’s needs, finding solutions, and working together to build a better country for all.

Sadly our politics is failing to live up to that expectation

A system designed to maximise the competition and conflict between parties has led us to a state of increasingly toxic debate, frequent dishonesty, routine prejudice, and a total breakdown in trust between voters and politicians.

The only way out is by remodelling our politics on a very different set of values - values of compassion, inclusion, and cooperation.

And compassion science has shown us this is possible.

Decades of scientific research has shown we can build institutions based on compassion - on a commitment to care for ourselves, others, and our planet.

Our mission is to put that knowledge into practice by building a new politics - a politics that works with the public and for the common good.
