Undermining the ECHR Is a Dangerous Mistake

Twenty-seven European states are now pushing to change the way the European Convention on Human Rights is applied in response to rising anti-migrant sentiment. 

This has been presented as pragmatism, but it looks a lot like anticipatory compliance and, as Jennifer Nadel warns, risks undermining human rights and the judges who uphold them.
