Our letter sent to Anneliese Dodds, thanking her for taking a stand against the cuts to aid.

Dear Anneliese Dodds,

On behalf of the organisations and individuals named below we are writing to thank you for the stand you have taken over the cuts to aid.

As you say in your letter to the Prime Minister, “these cuts will remove food and healthcare from desperate people - deeply harming the UK's
reputation”.

At a time when our world and our country face unprecedented challenges the need for integrity, humanity, compassion and aid could
not be greater.

What are we defending if we do not protect the values that lie at the heart of this nation?

Can we keep in touch?

You have modelled a form of leadership that is desperately needed in this current political landscape.

We can only imagine what a difficult and painful decision this must have been for you, but please know how deeply we respect you for it.
With solidarity and appreciation,

Jennifer Nadel
Co-Director, Compassion in Politics
